Ok, so i went to change my timing belt last night, and got everything off execpt the stuipd lower timing belt cover. All the bolts are out of it, and it's free to move around, i just cant get it to go down out the bottom or up and out of the top. Either way, there's stuff in the way, although i have it all torn down according to the VFAQ and to my shop manual. How did you guys get your lower cover out (without destorying it)?

Yea, got that off last night, the whole cover can move all the way to the inside of the fenderwell but i cant get it to go up or down after that, it doesnt want to clear the water pump shaft. it's like it wants to come out and is very close to doing it, but can't. I also haver the lower plastic peices off of the fenderwell too.

well, after another hour and a half, lowered the motor a little, cranked the wheel to the side, took off my alternator, and then managed to wiggle it out the bottom. I hope it's easier to put back in....
