EDIT: I went ahead and reconnected the wires - that fixed it.
I sold my SAFC-II on my 96 GSX. To remove it I just cut the SAFC-II wires close to the ECU harness (I did not cut any ECU wires).
I didn't care that the car would not have it since I had another running vehicle, but today my truck broke down so I need to be able to drive the DSM.
I knew it wasn't going to run as good without the SAFC, but I was planning on getting an EPROM and Ostrich, but now I need to drive it now.
It has 880 injectors and a 255 fuel pump, so it is running VERY rich now. Even when the SAFC was set to 0% correction it was not running this bad.
Looking at the install of the SAFC here:
Super AFC II Install
- most of the ECU wires are just tapped, but one of them goes through the SAFC on the pink wire and out of the SAFC through the orange wire.
So I am wondering if I should connect the pink and orange wires now, and if that will help. Common sense says it will, but I wanted to check here to make sure before I did anything.
