[RESOLVED] help with unknown bolts

Hi can anybody help me with these bolts? I have no idea where they go.

You should have tagged and bagged all of your bolts when taking stuff apart. I really cant't help you on this one, unless I go take some stuff apart. Sorry

well its pretty dark already but if no one can i.d. them then ill look in my garage tomorrow when its light out. i have a bunch of bagged bolts and spare parts lying around. so i'll see if i can match them. just pm me tomorrow if you have no luck.

no I didn't take my engine apart. i hired a mechanic but he didn't finish the job. These bolts were everywhere in the car. I would have put it back where it came from if I did the job. Im trying to finish the job now.

The guy took my engine out without taking the trans with it. So now Ive managed to take out the trans. I want to identify the 4 bolts that hold the trans and motor together. From looking at the haynes manual I believe its B but Im not sure of the length. Im just hoping someone could identify them.

Im not sure. He started not answering my calls and then a month later the garage where he took out my motor called me and said that they need the car out of their garage. I had to move the car and both motors to a friends house to work on it over the christmas break. Im thinking of filing a small claims court case on the guy but I need to finish the car or at least have the motor in before school starts up.

I just rebuilt my cyl head about 2 months ago and i know most of those are for the right engine mount(B for sure), I will try to take some pics tomorrow and send you them.

Yikes, that's really shifty. I'd definitely try to do something about that.

At least this will be a learning situation for you. There's nothing like wrenching on and (sometimes) screaming at your beloved DSM

A) Exhaust pipe
B) Engine mount beween Camshaft sprockets
C) Probably bell housing to engine
D) Body to transmission mount, inside passenger wheelwell
E) Probably bell housing to engine
F) Probably bell housing to engine

Thanks! One more thing what is the size and length of the starter to bellhousing bolts?

They are a 14mm on my 2g.

A: Those are the bolts that hole the AC bracket to the block, they also hold on the Front left drive shaft support to the block. (They were on my 98 GSX)
B: appears to be a motor mount of some sort
D: Appears to be the rear motor mount (Again, from my 98 GSX)

Those were very similar looking to the bolts I installed not to long ago.. No guarantees though

A bolts hold the half shaft to the block
B bolts are the drivers side engine mount
4 small bolts hold the trans side mount through the frame rail
E and F is the grade 10 bolt on the back of the engine to the trans
The other bolt is the front roll stop bolt.
