I have a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. It has the stock one piston callipers in front and rear drums. I am in desperate need of new brakes, and I wanted to upgrade. I found some dual piston callipers off of a 93 Diamante. Will these work on my car? Thanks

haha, well I am doing a turbo project next summer, and a drum to disc swap. Going to do all forged internals and hope to push into the three hundreds for whp. This is more a, I need new brakes now, so do them once do them right. I really just need to know if the callipers will fit or not. Thanks

Just because his car does not accelerate as fast as yours does not mean it'll never require decelerating from higher speeds.

I am a firm believer that the dual piston calipers should have been a standard option from the factory on ALL Eclipse/Talon models. After doing the swap on my RS, it was unbelievable performance from a cheap, stock part, even with standard street discs and pads. Best of all, it's completely bolt on and as easy as doing a brake change. I'd also suggest you nab yourself the rear disc components for the swap, the performance gain isn't near that of a dual piston front but who here seriously wants those big ugly drums on their sexy 2g?

I agree completely, but will these 93 callipers work? That is my question. I am also looking for the rear components for the conversion, but I am concentrating on the front for now.

"Any '93+ DSM AWD, '91+ non-turbo Dodge Stealth / Mitsu 3000GT, or '92-'96 Mitsu Diamante."

Not sure what type of brake line they use but if it's not a banjo bolt style, make sure you take their lines also or buy the stainless steel kit from RRE.

yea, the lines are different, but I already consulted RRE about them, and will be in good shape. Thank you guys much.
