[RESOLVED] 1g BOV

I''m getting a 1g BOV installed tomorrow. Although, i don''t plan on getting a boost controller, just a down-pipe that deletes the cat going through my Thermal research and development exhaust...I also have an open air filter, but that''s about it...

I''ve heard that i just can''t get a boost controller and up the boost...I have a boost gauge, but haven''t installed it yet. (I don''t want to spend too much)

Is it even beneficial for me to put in the 1g BOV if i''m not getting a boost controller?

It is def. worth it, the stock 2g one is terrible and doesnt even hold stock boost.

The 1G BOV is a good upgrade. Your stocker could be leaking even right now under stock boost. The 1G BOV upgrade will last you a long time. I would say get rid of the plastic pos 2G and go with the metal 1G.

Just to remember to install boost gauge before MBC. Then you can "just turn up the boost" but not more than 15psi.

How much can i get boost controller for? I really don't need a nice one, just something that will work...

Also, how hard are they to install?

You can get a boost controller for 20 bucks.

I have the NXS controller with a 1g bov. My stock bov leaked between 11-12psi. The 1g holds solid, and the MBC was so easy to install. It's a simple design and works great.

Since u have a 2g you'll need an adapter for the bov to bolt up, and the NXS controller is 20 bucks on ebay shipped.
1g bov 30(-+)
1g bov adapter 25
NXS boost controller 20

Thats about what it cost me.

1g crushed deffinetely worth it. my stock wouldn't even hold 10psi this crushed 1g holds 25psi all day long and they are pretty cheap
