I'd like to replace my front OEM speakers. The car came with some poorly fitting aftermarket speakers that didn't fit so someone removed the grills and it didn't look nice.

I have new door panels from a parts car. This time around, I'd like to install front speakers that fit properly without modification.

Audio is not my thing. Too many years of it...burnt out and lost interest.

I'd still like to have simple unblown NEW speakers up front that are efficient and durable. I'll have a simple aftermarket head unit that won't make alot of power and I have no interest in installing any external amplifier either.

Could you all suggest a drop in set of efficient yet durable speakers?

Thanks

I would measure them since 1g's had a variety of speaker sizes depending on the year/ factory audio options. Then find a decent deck from an audio shop that has a sale like "free speakers for purchase over $xxx.xx" I've gotten "free" speakers with every deck I've ever bought.
I don't even know what brand of speaker is good anymore :hmm:

Back in the day it was some new Pioneers. I have a bunch of decks laying around already. I'll lookup how to measure speaker size. It has been so long.

Thanks

Speakers now days normally have multiple mounting holes, not just 4 like back in the day. Makes it a little nicer for mounting purposes. I got lucky in 2 of my dsms, they already have newish front speakers!
Gotta love it, you step away from something for a few years and the market/products change so much.
