Replaced stock turbo with new one now some problems help!!

Car smoked before turbo was replaced will a bad turbo make your car smoke white and run like crap? Well I dont think it smoks anymore with new turbo but idling problem persists when turning car on it stays low then after driving gets above 1100rpms and if racing stays at 1500rpms. Also with the new turbo it doesnt sound very turboy...... When at 2500rpms and you let go the turbo sounds like its weak. But at 3000rpms plus it sounds normal whats going on?

A turbo with bad seals can create white smoke. However, you've done too much to the car (new turbo, rebuild, etc) without any specifics to narrow down possible trouble areas. It would also be helpful to have some hard data like boost at certain rpm points because "doesn't sound very turboy" doesn't really tell us anything at all.

hope im on the right track here. a normal turbo will spool around 2500-3000 TDO3 - TDO5. so that would explain why the turbo sounds diferent at diferent rpms. now your idle problem sound like to be three possible things.

1# re-adjust your idle screw. (its located on the TB (throttle body)) if that doesnt help then look into a issue with your ICS. http://members.shaw.ca/costall/1000Q/

2# check for boost leaks and vac. hoses poped, torn and just not put on..

3# when you put all your turbo stuff back on, did you clean them out? a turbo with a bad seal was able to get oil to your engine, then it could have flooded up your intercooler and it might have resin still reaching your TB. get some carb/TB cleaner and clean all those intake etc houses up and take off your intercooler and run a decent amount of carb/TB cleaner/rubing alcohal in it. let it dry and put everything back on. btw when your letting it dry make sure its in a dust free inviroment. to speed the process try using brake cleaner as a finishing touch to rinse everything out. it dryes hella fast.
