So I am trying to figure out my Choppy evo8 Maf Raw issue and I am narrowing it down to an ignition problem. I have been running ngk bpr7 gapped to .028 with ngk wires since 2010 (ish) but I have only about 2000 miles on set up fresg build. I am getting like a hesitation around 3000-4500 (which according to link it is showing my maf raw acting erratic) while trying to calibrate my wideband to afrest. I have solid boost, fixed all my Boost leaks and replaced my leaky 1G bov but I am still getting this choppy maf raw.

Is it possible even though I am not at a high mileage mark it's time to replace plugs and wires? I can hear a slight misfire at idle sometimes and the hesitation issue. I do noticed on the wires where it meets the boot there is a black/burn looking mark. Running 19psi on a evo3 16g.

BTW this all started (choppy Maf) after my ets street kit install

Any ideas?

Thanks

I check the tightness of the plugs every oil change, with heat cycles they tend to loosen themselves. Also check the gaps and I look in each end of the wires to make sure good contact with the coil and plug all each oil change. There is also lube you can put on the plug and coil tips to increase connectivity to the wire FYI.

Thanks for the info! Ill check them out! What about the idea of plugs being changed on miles vs time?

Thanks
