I need advice/tips or distructions ROFL on how to remove my hatch.

Instead of having the rear window replaced, Im grabing a 95 GS hatch and putting it on, but dont have a clue on how to attack it. If anyone has done this, can you shed some light on it for me. Thanks

I did this not long ago.
Really, its a two person job, but I survived it alone.

I started by removing the interior panels and disconnecting the wires and removing them from the hatch.
Next I proceeded to unscrew the mounts of the hatch itself. Have someone hold the hatch during this. The hatch will have a tendancy to launch off the back of the car and rip out the hatch struts with it. Be very careful and make sure your buddy is the sturdy type that can hold the hatch in place while you unbolt and remove the struts from the hatch sidesand the trunk sides.
Remove the struts and get them out of the way.
Next have your buddy and yourself each grab a side and carefully lift the hatch up and off the car and place it on the grass. Any remotely hard surface will scratch/damage the paint.

This is how I did it, only without the buddy. I don't recommend doing it that way :thumb:
Good luck.

ok,, 2 peeps to do it, ok thats a not a problem , the problem im worried about is the wires. im having the j-yard take off the hatch but i dont want them cutting the wires and such, and same with mine, dont want to mess up the wires, but thanks for the tips.

theyll probably cut the wires off but that just means you need to pull the interior trim off both pieces and use your wiring
