Hey guys just wondering if there is anywhere that can tell me what all needs to be removed to take of the rear bumnper cover or if anyone here could tell me it would be a great help thanks

If I remember this correctly first you need to get access to the tail lights first by taking inner plastic lining of the hatch compartment off. then take all the nuts off that hold your tail lights on. (be careful though because if you drop a nut its a bi*** to get it back.) Once you have the tail lights off including the center section, that should give you access to the bolts that hold the rear cover on.
If any of this is wrong please feel free to correct me or if I missed something. Its been awhile since I removed the rear.
Hope this helps man.

I don't have my Haynes Manual with me, but I think there are some bolts you need to take off from the bottom. I'm sure there a tech article about it, I'll look.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was thinking about the front. See post below.

I havent had time to take everything out of the trunk to get to everything yet so I'm not sure yet

In the tech guide...

Rear Bumper Removal:

Note: This is the hardest part to remove, next to the passenger headlight.

1. Remove all the trunk panels. There is three of them.

2. Remove Reverse lights and license plate.

3. Remove the six 10mm nuts from the center tail, and the seven 10mm nuts from both sides of the other tail lights.

4. Pull the tail lights out

5. Remove the 10mm bolts on top of the bumper that the tail lights were covering.

6. Remove the 10mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper .

7. Remove the two 10mm bolts behind the license plate.

8. Remove the rear fender well facing the rear bumper.

9. This is where this becomes a pain in the ass. There is three 10mm bolts on each side. One you remove behind where the fender well was. The other two are in the trunk. You really have to get a flash light and look in the corners where the are located. Locate them and unscrew them.

10. Pull the bumper off!

See it has been awhile. Thank you DGajree777. There is alot there that I missed. thanks for the correction. At least now he knows the right way to get it done.

You are welcome! :)

I actually am working on this right now. My problem though, is the last bolts. Mine aren't bolts, they're plastic screws with the (don't know proper terminology) thing where you back the screws so far out so the clips can pull out. They were apparently put in from the top, but I can't seem to find them anywhere, though I do see them under the car where the bumper attaches to the rear quarter. Help!

Old thread.

If you can access the bottom of the plastic clip thing, just cut/break it off. You can get new ones at your local non-AutoZone/Advance parts store for like ~ $0.30 ea. They will be with the rest of the panel clips. Or you can replace them with traditional nuts, bolts, and washers.
