hey i just went on the taboo web site and seen the article to remove the emission lines

anyways i tried searching but to no result, my question is can i take out the solenoids or do i just leave it pluged in and just capped off?

does anyone have any advice on how i can clean that area off a lil

o btw this is on a 1ga laser with no cruise control

I have a 1Ga also.... you can remove everything if you want. But if you unplug them you might get a CEL. But if you leave them you dont need to cap them becasuse it wont cause a leak or anything.

Yeah super clean from NO ENGINE!! Its going to look alot cleaner B4 the engine goes in. Im going to completly de-grease it and repaint the engine bay just for that awesome clean look. Hope that pic helped.

can i get rid of my evap canister?

you should read up before you remove that, i am going to say only this, i wouldnt remove mine, i have never removed them from any of my 7 eagles or my gvr4, read up on what it does and make sure your willing to take that risk, and yes it does hurt your engine

how does it hurt your engine, mine ran fine. as long as you take all the steps to removing it and blocking things off then you should be fine. but please tell me why it hurts your engine, thanks.

just letting everyone know that since taking out the emissions (solenoids, canister, lines)

i have since had no idle problems, engine bay looks cleaner, and from filling up 2 tanks i went from 26mpg to 29-30 mpg and this is my results hope its the same for others

o and also there were no hp gains from what i can tell and start up is the same even removing the fuel pressure solenoid

exactly... still gotta find out why i'm getting so crappy mileage. i'm pretty sure i still have the stock fuel filter.. at 138k miles so i'll be changing that sometime this week. air filter is a bit dirty too, so gonna be cleaning the k&n. still dont' know why it would be so low. maybe cuz my compression is only 110 all around :(

if you remove all of it, when comes time for passing emissions depending on where you are you may not be able to pass emmissions unless they don't notice or don't care.

yea i was just wondering about that. down here they dont check under your hood or anything they just stick that thing in your exhaust and then tell you to go home, so if i were to remove all the emissions then that would not affect my passing/failing if they didnt check under the hood?

im from hawaii we dont have any emissions stuff :thumb:
