what all under the hood can i get rid of? I hate having so many vacuum lines and all the crap. And is there a cable i can buy that will go from the gas pedal stright to the T-bodyso i can get rid of that nasty bracket/linkage in the back of the engine bay? just let me know EVERYTHING that i do not need. damn cluttered DSM bays.

these cars have some of the most cluttered engine bays, already ripped out the A/C stuff last night besides the compressor, heard that's a nightmare to get out. The only reason i would need cruise is for 300+ mile trips which i dont plan on doing very often, car will weigh less, and my cruise doesn't work all the time anyways so i wont miss it. never had a car with it before so i can live without it. :)

EDIT: saw the 2g page... if you're not using the EGR Valve, Purge Control Valve, Fuel Pressure Selenoid, EGR Selenoid, and EVAP Purge Selenoid can you just remove them? If you don't need them hooked up why are they there in the first place? It also doesn't make sense that all the nipples on the top of the throttle body can be plugged... someone explain please:confused:

First of all, the EGR is there to increase gas mileage, emissions, and reduce knock. Some of nipples can be plugged becaues they are used for controlling the EGR function. EVAP is for recovering fuel vapors that would otherwise leak out into the atmosphere.

I am removing evreything possible to save weight, make it much easier to work in the engine bay, and it just looks alot nicer in there without hoses running every which way. with previous cars i've owned i've removed all the emissions stuff ith no drop in MPG or performance, but when i would pop the hood people would flip how clean it was under the hood, even re-ran the wiring harness my own way so you couldn't see 95% of it.
:thumb: for engine bays with only engines

If you did all the things that are in the "after" picture could your car still be a reliable daily driver?

Would there be any HP increase or lower Temps?

I myself have just removed my Cruise control but Im contimplating on removing my abs but not sure if I should yet. Oh and I have also removed all my emmission controlls which really cleaned up the engine bay quite a bit.
