Just curious if anyone has ever refinished their emblems on a 1G? (the ones between the headlights and tailights). Much of the chrome on mine is worn away, and I'd love to get them like new again.

Is this even possible to do? It looks like there's a thick resin covering the actual emblem itself. Can this be removed? I'd imagine it's next to impossible to find a mint emblem nowadays.

I don't know if you're a member on DSMTalk, but a guy over there is making replacements.

yeah i would go with just buying a new remanufactured or refurbished one. its ###### way more work/hassle/money to fix the ones you have.

I saw some on EBay for sale. The same seller even had a few custom eagle emblems.

I remember seeing some on there last summer. IIRC, the seller only had ones for the tailights...really wished I'd bought one though. They looked great in the pics. Only ones I see now are some goofy Transformers logo. My car is 99% stock, inside and out, wanna keep it that way. :thumb:
