that 7200rpm limit for manuals is BS, i hit 7464 in mine.

i know, i've hit 8grand and above... i don't recommend this guys, remember i am an amatuer with a heavy foot!

so does anyone get why i cant hit fuel cut>
Because you're normally-aspirated. :|

The ECU will stop supplying fuel at 7500 RPM, but that's not "fuel cut". Some 2G FWD cars have a speed limiter which cuts off fuel at 130 MPH, because the stock tires were H-rated.

What gear are you trying to redline in?

DEFIANT-I know your a moderator and all,and since you are,if your ever in miami i'll let you take out my baby for a spin and redline it so you can bounce off my 7300 rpm fuel cut.I mean i've done it more than once and i also lost a race cuzz of it so i know for a fact 2gnt's have fuel cut.O and this was at 60 mph, from 2nd to 3rd , not at 130 mph

ya thats your rev limiter, and if you lost a race from it, then that loss was from poor driving and not shifting before your rev limiter kicked in. i mean its not like it was a surprise that it would do that. or did you honestly not know? shift around 7000 rpms, a little past the power band but you stay higher in it in the next gear.

are you double clutching because if your not your gonna loose more rpms between gears :thumb:

Granny shifting, not double clutching like you should...

LOL

We don't need to double clutch, we have the miracle of "synchro's". :thumb:

cough cough *bullshit* cough cough

Max engine speed MT 7300 rpm (electronically limited)
Max engine speed AT 6464 rpm (electronically limited)

i would have to say the reason why you cant get past 6100 is because you dont have the power to get that high

try going though the power band
go up to 4 grand dump the cluch
then shift at these points
1st gear: 5800
2nd gear: 7200
3rd gear: 6500 - 7200
4th gear: 7000

because in my personal experence with my car when i shift though the power band like this i get up to 120 super quick then it takes a little while to get up to 135-140 shes got it in her it just takes her a little while to get up there she will hold 65-67k stong in 5th but she needs some road behind her to get up to 7k i didnt have enoughf road to get higher then 7 k but shes got it in here i ran into trafic though so i had to slow down :D
and when you shift dont let off the gass when u push in the cluch just keep goin :thumb:
try that and get back to us see if that wokers any better for you ;)
