Red Eclipse, which rims??

Hi everyone, ive always been doing mechanical work on my car and i think finally im ready to make it look a little nicer. I have a bright RED 97 gsx and i was wondering what color rims would look nice with it, also you guys may know a certain rim that would go with the car ( not trying to spend too much here though), thanks, also any pics would be extremely appreciated

Whats your price range ish? Rims aren't exactly cheap . I'd have to say black rims would look sick with a bright red gsx.

Something along the lines like this? I know American Racing rims aren't super expensive atleast in my opinion.

my friends call me vader for years now, i know they aint cheap but i seem some outrageous prices for some, like Volk, BBS etc, the gunmetal stockys look nice but i was thinking something that would accomodate a wider tire without looking bubbled, i wanna get 235s, thanks for the pics keep them coming i have looked in google images but havent found much that i liked

^^ u know i had a black prelude with gold rims and it looked really nice, i havent seen a red eclipse with gold rims though and i looked through like 37 pages of images here on the forum

+35 offset. tires in the picture are 255/40/17. I run a 5mm spacer in the rear to clear the knuckle. 97+ cars have a different knuckle and do not need the spacer. No rubbing with 245/45/17 tires on the knuckle. Both size tires rub on the rear fender if the car is too low. If you roll the fenders i believe there will be no rubbing at all, but for my taste the car was low enough. As the car sits there is no rubbing.

I run Acura RSX Type S rims that were powdercoated black. The tires on there are not the same as in the picture now. I am now running Nexxon N500 Tires on there I don't remember the tire size off the top of my head.

^^ thats cool i didnt know u could use them. Well guys im sorry to have wasted your time about an hour ago i got hit by a dominos driver on my right rear tire the rear quarter panel is fuc*ed the rear bumper is kinda messed up, my sway bar snapped the wheel is sitting very off in an angle and tilted at least 15 degrees, ill try to post pics tomorrow. It fuc*ing blows ### of course even though the dominos driver was speeding the POS cops said that it wasnt her fault, that he is going to let the insurance decide who was at fault. And off course i drive a turbo eclipse gsx, hooked up and she had a POS beater im most likely to get blamed for it. Im so pissed im going to have to have my car fixed and probably painted, it just sucks ### i had so many plans on how to spend the money i had saved up, I dont even know what else could be broken its dark and ill check it tomorrow..

Was planning a few upgrades myself when I received my unexpected gift. Tell me, was your culprit driving something like this? ###, we could arrange a smackdown party and steal those banging rims!

i would be definetly be down for a smackdown on these ####ers, i see them speeding all the time, cutting lights and stop signs, you know the most ####ed up part, she did admit she was going pretty fast but when the cops showed up she said that she did nothing wrongi havent checked the car too good but what do you think im going to have to replace, if you look at my car from the rear the tire is at the 1 oclock position and if you looked at it from the top the tire is at the 2 oclock so its crooked and tilted i know the sway bar snapped so what else could be wrong in there

What a wench! Was involved in a minor "rear ending" back in college and the guy I clipped (no damage on either vehicle) insisted we call the cops. His POS tosser was covered in philosophical bumper stickers so I knew something was gonna be said while we waited for the popo just wasn't sure what. He asked where I went to school and wanted to know if I attended wild parties. Any good keggers lately? I was like, yeah, I'm gonna tell you I'm a raging alkee so you can collect on me when the cops get here. And he did try when they finally arrived, but I got off scott free. The cop even told me to give him a call if the guy gave me any trouble. Kind of sad when you think about it - people feeling the need to cover their hind end, attempting to extricate dirty details from you. That chick should watch out. Hey, were there any traffic cameras where this happened? You can always consult those if need be to determine fault.

K, now technically...depends...did you have any control issues when driving home? Or wait, were you towed? Yikes! If there were steering challenges due to the sway bar breakage, you might see if the sway bar separated from the chassis. Also, the good ole sway bar mount and bracket could be at odds (which would cause the chassis separation). Any rear axle probs?

thanks for the concern, yea that chick was a total POS she acted all nice and when popo arrived she didnt want to say anything but karma is a bitc*. I asked the officer and he said that there are no cameras, my insurance agent confirmed it so im having to pay the repairs myself...for now. As far as the damage goes, so far is the spindle/axle bearing is fine, the knuckle broke so did the trailing arm, lower control is bent and front control also broke, so im getting the parts and changing them myself. Once i repair the suspension im really thinking of selling her, i have been hit twice in the last year, first time rear ended(my prelude was totalled) and this time side swiped, im thinking of getting a truck.

that sounded kinda homo, i was looking around and found a couple but in pretty bad shape. Then today i found a 03 audi a4 with like 60k miles for a pretty decent price, i know its not a truck but oh boy am i tempted. Its stock adult driven and i think overall a pretty good car and i would use it for work and school and then later on maybe get a shell and build an engine just for the track.
