I was debating on manifold mount vs. O2 mount wastegate setup. I was leaning toward the manifold mount but I also want to recirculate (CA restrictions) I know both will fail inspections but Im trying to choose the lesser evil:p

if you dump itll be louder and get you more of a chance to get pulled over, if you recirculate then itll be quieter and less chance of getting your hood popped in the first place.

I run my ext. wastegate of my SBR manifold. Ive experienced no problems yet and I love it. It works exactly like it should. It holds 20 pounds like its nothing which it is compared to the amount of boost others run. To recirculate from the manifold is a bit different. These are the only 2 manifolds I could find that would do it. You could always get a custom recirc. tube made and welded on though.

Heres one option of an external gate on your manifold
by DNP it would recirculate into your downpipe it costs
a GRAND though :notgood:

Heres SBR's recirc. o2 housing. you have to use their manifold though :thumb: def. CHEAPER

This is from Robert over a FP which is a very, very reputable
shop on the forums. It about why not to have a ext. wastgate on your manifold:

Sorry, no single runner wastegate flanges on our manifold. People still do that?

What happens if you need to WG more than 25% of the flow out of the motor to hold motor down to a certain boost? Does that mean that some of the flow from the 3 other runners has to travel backwards down the #1 runner in order to get out of the WG? That is rhetorical of course, do not attempt to answer, we all know how poor of a solution that truly is.

This manifold is designed to support the FP30 turbos, and they all have integral WG ports made into the turbine housing so that WG flow can be drawn equally from all runners. Of course most turbos are made this way with internal gates, and any of those will work rather well with this manifold.

Its up to you. If you have to recirculate it go with an ext. wastgate of your o2 housing its easier and cheaper plus some think its better :thumb: hope all of this helps
