I have a 1995 420a gs eclipse and I’m rebuilding the motor I have an idea on what I would need to do to get this motor “turbo ready” my main question is the internals like pistons, rods ,cams, springs etc. I would like to buy decent stuff but not go overboard I’m trying to make this motor last and have it as a nice daily not chasing crazy numbers

where are you located? I’ve got a block with forged internals I’ll send you specs on. These guys would know way better if it would work for you or not. My knowledge of the turbo game is very minimal.

I’ll put up a list of things I’ve done research on and things I know I’ll have to do to have it turbo ready.
Forged pistons
ARP head studs
OEM oil pump
Oil clearances for turbo
Bearings
H beam rods
Baffled oil pan
Oem cams
BC valve springs and retainers
550cc injectors
Aem fuel pressure regulator
Walbro 255 fuel pump
93 octane conversion
As of now this is what I’ve came up with let me know if it’s too much and if it’s able to handle around 8-14 psi. For right now I’m not immediately going to turbo it which is why I want to get it turbo ready
