Okay so my taillights work fine during the day but when I turn my headlights on at night, My tailights work fine, but when I hit the brakes my right tailight goes out. But then when I let off it turns back on. I have no Idea why this is. DOes anyone know? Also my reverse lights dont work if that makes a difference. Any help is apreciated Thanks WInter.

Sounds like you need a new brake light bulb. They have 2 elements in them. One for running lights and one for when you brake, check your bulbs! Same for your reverse lights.

Yea I checked my bulbs already and had to replace them. But the problem still exists. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help Winter

SMell for burnt wires. Check fuses. Also the switch for the reverse lights sometimes breaks or gets weak. Half the time my reverse lights don't work. But the wire is easy to find, you can check to see if they are broken or if its the switch. The two wires plug into the transmission on the front (should be)... you can shove some kinda wire to connect the two and check to see if they work.

As far as brakes, time to rip everything apart and locate a short.

Same thing happened to my '89 Mirage, turned out that the wiring in the housing had melted a bit, and was shorting to ground on that side for the brake light circuit. Had to replace the housing, as it didn't use a simple plug like our cars do.
