Don't bump your thread or its not gonna stay open long. I have heard people being successful with ebay turbo's. But personally I wouldn't run a turbo thats $155 new. You can buy used 50trims for $500, so why not save up a little more and get a proven turbo that works?

the turbo on ebay is a 50 trim, or atleast thats what it says is it too good to be true or will it give me that 375-400 hp I am looking for?

well man in all reality bolt up M H I-bulls eye power AND PTE turbos are the better way to go most of the time. if i were you i would just stick with the M H I turbos. an evo 3 turbo is more then enough turbo for most ppl. plus there is no down pipe mods or header change needed.:talon: also the proven quality of them speaks for its self.

If its too good to be true it usually is. But if you want to try it go ahead, and post back how it goes.

But keep in mind that if you run this turbo you will need a different exhaust manifold and o2 housing.

Can you please show me the link of this turbo I was thinking 20 G or the FP 3065 but they are both pretty exspensive If this turbo on ebay dosnt work I can always sell it. For 200 bucks this turbo its a steal I can get the Manifold flanged for the waste gate for cheap on their as well but I am worried about the downpipe why must it be changed i just put the apexi N1 DP on . Please explain thanks!

I didnt say you need to change the downpipe, I said you will need to change your o2 housing. This is because the turbine housing is not flagged like the Mitsubishi o2 housing.

Do a search on ebay turbo's.

I didnt say I would sell it for 200.00 I said for 200.00(the ebay turbo) its a good deal and I could always turn around and sell it if its undisirable plus its a cheaper way to go fast even if it only works for a 1year and a half LOL.

Wow my bad... I definitely miss read it!!! Sorry :coy:

I edited my post.

so If I try this turbo I dont have to buy a new DP I can use My Apexi? just a new mani and o2? and waste gate?

You don't have any supporting mods. Why are you turbo shopping already?

Ordinarily I cheer on the people who buy the ebay stuff as a guinea pig and then post up useful results. However, if you are going with reliability on your own car...

I have the supporting mods FMIC,Intake,730 injectors, Apexi exhaust turbo back N1, Arp Head Studs, Motor mounts,HKS BOV, what more do I need....WTF

After you pay for the turbo, manifold, o2 housing, external wastegate, and whatever else you still may need to run this setup you will rack up a pretty big bill, even if it is all ebay stuff. I would suggest just getting an true Mitsu 16g, you can keep your manifold and o2 housing, it would be cheaper and more reliable.

iam not sure how to send links. :coy: sorry. but if you look on forcedproformance.com look in to the 16-g or 18-g. the 18g is what i have and its a beast for the streets. sorry you realy only have to change your o-2 housing. the 3065 you would have to buy an external wastegate. (tial44) because the turbine housing is made that way. there not cheap.and i believe you would have to v-band the o2 housing then get to flanged for your n-1 eather way it a big $ set up. :talon: don't for get you would need feed and drain lines to get it going. iam not sure about coolant lines. .:dsm: 18-16 g turbos you would have to buy the 1g turbo to 2g turbo car kit but its still cheaper then the 3065.

Pretty much. If you go T3, get a mani with the external mount on it. Do the external there, and then for the o2 housing, get something like this Punishment Racing piece here. They made it to fit a 5 bolt T3 flange o2 housing and it bolts up to your stock style downpipe (this includes the Apexi unit). But you need something to tune out those injectors. If not DSMLink, then at least a chipped Eprom and a AFC.

If you wanna buy a "Sport JDM" turbo from ILoveTacoTaco go for it, just don't expect to use it for anything more than a paperweight.

My personal opinion is avoid it. My buddy bought one of those cheap turbos off of ebay and ended up getting what he payed for. Shaftplay for starters and it looks like something solid got sucked in the induction side. But it was a "brand new" turbo. If you go ahead with it, be careful and do some back and forth emails with any and all questions you have. If you hold onto your sent emails, his replies and anything goes awry, you can hold the vendor to it. Good luck.
