Want to make your jaw drop?
two words: "OHIO CAR"
hahaha, surprising, I know.

Wow, i would have to see that to believe it! That car is immaculate for a dsm, great find. Some day when i have some spare change, i want to set out to go and buy up dsm's that are in unbelievable condition like this one.
BTW: i think all '97 & '98 Turbo Talons came with those wheels. I have seen them on all turbo 2Gb talons, one buddy of mine has the same wheels on his '98 tsi awd and another had them on his '97tsi fwd. But clean a$$ car none the less, and that's coming from someone who isn't big on 2Gb talons or red 2g's all together, but i have respect for a clean DSM.

Thanks dude. I appreciate it.

And thanks for the tip about the wheels, I usually only look for, i guess you call them 2Ga, 95-96 Talons with the swirlies, but when I saw this 97 on autotrader, I couldn't pass it up.

I have been pouring over this site since so I can "do" it right and not mess up a perfect DSM. haha

Well said, that's really the best thing you can do. This is the last dsm site you'll ever need to know. Welcome aboard.

Thanks!

How much did you get that perfect condition red talon for LOL??????

I know I paid too much, but $7500.

It is just so much exactly what I wanted, and someone was gonna pay $8,000 for it, I just beat them to the punch.

While that seems like a lot of money for a dsm, the awesome condition it's in and very low miles helps the value up. Not too mention that it hasn't been all modded up with ebay parts. That kind of money may have bought a 10 sec 1g, but i guarantee it wouldn't be in that good of condition as your new Talon.
I feel that a vehicle is worth what ever the market is willing to pay for it. The blue book on my last 1g was about $1,200 and i bought it for $900 wholesale cost, but after modding it and making it quick it sold for $5,300.

Its odd though, if you think about it, that 10 second cars sell for the same price as BONE STOCK cars, it's just whatever the buyer feels its worth to them.

I want to build a car with nothing but quality parts, and I want to know the car inside and out, so a 10 second car means little to me.

A Talon has been my dream car since I was 5 (I'm 19 now) and this one surpassed my expectations, so it was worth every penny and all the hassle at the bank with a 19 year old taking out car loans instead of school loans, haha.

yeah i know what you mean. Well if your happy now, wait till you get that thing breathing good and running some more boost. Although i will say the stock Garret T-25 turbo that comes stock on 2g turbo dsm's is not that impressive, but you'll still have some fun till you take it off.

Goettler Nice find, that car is jewel in prestine codition. This reminds me of my friend he bought a 1997 Bmw 318ti Club Sport M edition with only 35,000 miles on it for 8,000 so what you paid is a good price for a basically new car that hasn't hit its time to change the timing on it yet. Best of Luck with it!!

On my recently purchased 1997 Eagle Talon TSi AWD:

31,000 original miles
Stock wheels I've never seen before (non-swirlies)
Window sticker with value at almost $27,000 (Lady got every single option, including LSD)
Everything still working PERFECTLY

Bought it from an old lady who started crying she loved it so much but didn't want it outside :-(

Only option I can see your missing is a sunroof.:p Anyways nice find and to be honest I don't care what the price is. With a car that clean it won't matter.:D

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

And it must be an awkward angle/glare for the picture, but it does have a sunroof. haha

i have clear carbon fiber 1g taillights and more to come workin on a carbon fiber stock wing 1g , 1g carbon headlight covers , 1g carbon fiber center console and a carbon fiber window moldings. ill post pics when done

Goettler, I'd give you my 1994 Radiant Red 6/4, Red (OEM) Interior Eagle Talon TSI AWD that has a set of 1994 ***ONLY*** 3000GT VR4 17x8.5" Wheels, 4Piston VR4 Brakes (OEM) And name my next child after you, for that Gorgeous bi***!

Anyway... Rare parts.... Ehh not much....
I own a 1994 Radiant Red Eagle Talon TSI AWD with 124k miles, OEM "Porno" Red Cloth Interior with a 6/4 Configuration on a set of 17x8.5" Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Wheels that are only found on 1994 Models, The Matching VR4 Brake Calipers and Rotors installed OEM Style with the VR4's Spindles and Axle Cups, with a set of the Black/Clear Headlights that I've only seen about 10 in existance around the World Wide Web...

However the car didn't come like that. I just happen to enjoy building a car out of somewhat rare parts.

My car is a rare find, imported new (US spec) to Italy in 1993. 17 years, one owner and 66k miles later I bought it for $2500 in great original shape. It will make the trip back to the U.S with me in August...talk about a homecoming.

I have a steering wheel from a Tommy Kaira R33 Skyline GTR that I picked up in a second hand store while I was in Japan. Apparently only 400 of the cars were made over 3 or 4 years, and only a few have ever been imported into North America. It is a gorgeously sexy steering wheel and initially I thought I might swap out the 1G truck driver steering wheel, but now I don't know. Pretty cool though, I might just put it up as decoration in my garage or something.

I have one of the VERY FIRST 2Gs. 95 Model date with a July of 94 Build date.

Eh not really a part.
But it does feel good to have DSM decals on a 2g huh?
Now do you have the blue leather? That would be very rare, mine originally had the slate blue cloth.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen a picture of the blue leather.
