Random horn beeping...

Posting this in the newbie forum, because there really isn't a proper DSM tech section.

So when I turn left and right, stop and go, my horn randomly beeps itself. No idea what is causing it...everything seems fine. Ideas or similar experiences?

I think your car seen a "Honk if your horny" sign and just never stopped.

JK man, but I have never heard of a car doing this. Good luck man. , will be interesting to see what is causing this.

Your steering wheel is bent causing the horn to make contact. This happened to me before and would randomly honk all the time. You could either try to bend the wheel straight again or get another one.
I bent mine trying to get the steering wheel off the splines...

I got another one, I will just swap it over and see if that fixes it. Thank you.

Be careful with that. It could be a short inside the steering column or in the connecter. This will sometimes cause the airbag to deploy inadvertantly.

is your car salvage? sometimes people that fix these do a half ass job and dont fix steering wheel right.

my 95 cobra was salvaged and it would do the same thing. unpluged battery and airbag computer to be safe about it and sure enough the wire would ground it self because it was bent like mentioned before.

just take this chance if it has had its airbags deployed and get an a/m wheel its cheaper and better looking IMO.
