So, i put in my mbc on the weekend and raised it to 14 psi everything else is completetly stock except for gauges. I did not notice much of a gain in performance, is this because i need other sporting mods ie. downpipe, fuel pump, etc??? BTW theres no boost leaks or other problems that could effect performance.

I wouldnt expect much gain in stock form with the t-25. Upgrade the exhaust and fuel pump, swap on a 14b, and then you witll see a major difference.

And agreed. Dont do anything at all without an aftermarket boost gauge. That really should be the first upgrade to any turbo dsm.

No it drops becuase the turbo is to small to keep up with the engine. the bov starts to leak once you exceed 15 psi. Also the t25 wasn't meant to have high end power just quick spool and lots of low end tq.

That'll just take you to the homepage, finding it should be easy from there. Thats what I used to cross reference my thought on 2g's being stock at 14-15. All it says for a 2g is 10-15psi.

Thats because it varys from car to car.

On my car I only get 10 PSI with the BCS removed and it says I should be getting 12 PSI, and yes I have no boost leaks.

Once you open things up meaning Exhaust/Intake you might see a little bit more but I wouldnt expect much from the glorious t25. I run mine at 15 psi for about 1000 RPM till it drops to about 11 psi the rest of the way through. Just a small turbo thats all, you get the fast spool up then she just runs out of balls........WTF

Mine holds 15 psi from prob 2800 to 3800 till it slowly drops off to about 11 psi at I would say around 5500 and holds through till I shift. Maybe holds 15 psi more in the higher gears but not much more. Its fun for around town driving but cant wait till I through my 50 trim on...

Like veryone says it varies from car to car. I'm looking to finally buying a boost gauge in the next couple weeks myself. I have no boost leaks and i know my bov is holding boost quite well. Evo8 MR BOV FTW ! :rocks:

OH, guess thats the only other thing i fogot to mention is that is aftermarket. I do have aftermarket gauges that was the first mod that i did. Its reading correctly and the guy that installed it works on all the dsm cars where im from. Well, i wasnt expecting a huge gain just thought it would a noticeable difference..

Your not going to notice big gains from turning up the boost with out supporting mods. Tuning will help also.
