Radiator for street use only

I'm currently building an engine to put in my '92 n/t talon, and while I was removing all the accessories on the old motor my upper radiator neck came off in the upper radiator hose WTF


My question is, since this car is only for street use should I get a factory replacement radiator with the plastic encasing or an aluminum radiator? The factory one will have a lifetime warranty, and my only concern with the aluminum radiator is a rock penetrating it. Are the aluminum radiators suitable for street use, or are they weaker physically than stock radiators??

you should be go to go with a alum rad. that would have to be a big rock to cause any real damage.

An oem replacement radiator will be suffice enough for your daily use.
No need to spend big money on an aluminum radiator unless you're pushing big power and really need the extra cooling aid.
Buy oem and use the extra $ elsewhere needed.

Just go with an OEM style one, unless you just feel like spending more money for no real reason. I just bought an OEM style one on ebay for under $80 bucks for the 1G I'm working (to be a drag car). I bought one from the same place a while back for a 2G for about the same price and was very satisfied with it.

An all aluminum one, however, would pretty much last forever.

The reason I ask is I can get a new all aluminum radiator for the same price as a factory radiator around here.... 150 at Oreilly and there is a CXracing aluminum radiator on ebay for around the same price. I was just unaware as to how much a beating the aluminum radiators could endure.
