Racing with nitrous

For those that are using nitrous when are you spraying?

off the launch?
2nd?
3rd?

I'm not sure when i should start to spray the car....

95tsi awd

50 shot
evo 16g w/ supporting mods
sbr 3500 clutch kit

If you are launching with juice, how are you doing it?


I was planning on starting to spray in 3rd but i think thats way too late... then i was thinking 2nd because 1st gear is pretty short.. but then i wondered with the awd if i could just rip out of the hole with it... i figure 400 hp is 400hp no matter how it gets there.

I have had good luck with Nitrous Express and their customer service is top notch. The window switch that I use has a first gear lock-out and it is a good thing! Why waste rubber when you don't have to?

My best advice concerning the spray is to start 'small' and work your way up to where you want to be.

I use to start out spraying out of the hole, but all I did was spin all the way down the track.

I now just hit the switch that I have mounted beside me around the middle to top part of second if I can, especially on an 1/8 mile track.
