has anybody put them in the rear if so what did you all do with the gap. im thinking of doing this but i dont know. The reason would be so it would all match instead of racing seats of front and stock in back.

I removed my back seats and plan to install carpet there that matches the stock carpet. That way it looks better , you don't have to uncomfortably drive anyone in the back seats, you got more room, and save a little on weight. It'll look racey and you can say you got a 2-seater.

Isn't it slightly nicer to have the option of scaring more than one person at a time, though?

doubt that they would fit in the back because has a way higher mounting point than the fronts which are flat on the floor, the rear seats actually sit on top of the fuel tank. What most people do is get the rear seats reupholstered in the same fabric as whatever from they got, i know sparco sells spare fabric for upholstery.

Have seen the 2 race seats in the back done on a Civic Coupe though

I would suggest that a seat with an adjustable headrest (Corbeau GTS II www.corbeau.com ) for rear head room (remove headrest if clearances are too tight). I would leave a gap between the seats, allowing for separate adjustability. Perhaps you could elongate the center console to make an armrest between the two rear seats. It all sounds like a good way to make a more useful rear seat, and as the GTS II retails @ $320 each, it is fairly economical compared with recovering the factory rear bench to match the fronts.

At one time, I had considered putting a TV on 1 side and a racing seat facing sideways on the other. You know if you ever put anyone in your back seat, they had their legs across and to the other side. There's no leg room. I was gonna make a "lounge" in the back, but I just ran outta money and changed my mind.

WOW, that thought has crossed my mine tons of times as well. still might do it someday

but for the poster, why not get your back seats reupholstered to match? that's what i did, and i'm extremely happy with the results. i was able to find a fabric really close to that of the race seats, and color matched perfect.

depending on what kind of seats you have, you can probably call the manufacturer and get some cloth even. i'm positive that Sparco sells the cloth they use, as does Corbeau if i'm not mistaken. as mentioned above, the higher mounting location would make them look odd IMO

good luck with your project, let us know how it goes
