.028 is the right gap. Make sure they are BPR6ES or BPR6EY plugs (assuming your car is stock/close to stock). This is probably the easiest thing to find by the way if you just search. Just a heads up for ya.

.028 would be the right gap? Ok thanks bro i need a second opinion or more to be sure, i dont want to spend my money and buy the wronge sparkplug

He had the right answer. .028"

Do not under any circumstances use platinum plugs, however. Our cars do not like them. Let 50 Cent have all the bling he wants; it doesn't belong on your spark plugs. :)

From what I learned first hand today, autozone does not carry NGK products  I went to buy some NGK BPR6ES plugs for my elantra and they said they don't carry NGK. Go figure. They're computer said Bosch platinums are the right plugs (for a gsx too). Stupid.

Autozone doesn't carry them, but I know Murray's Discount Auto Parts does. I don't know how national they are, but I really like going there. Some of the guys at the one near me have really helped me out. I haven't been to an Advanced Auto in a long time, so I don't know if they stock NGK or not. Same with NAPA. Anyone care to chime in with the availability at those two?

NAPA does, that's where i went to go buy them. And to REALIST, i'm willing to bet they tried to sell you BOSCH platinums.

No do not get those, return them. Go to NAPA and buy NGK BPR6ES plugs. Just tell them that part number and they'll look it up.

cAN YOU GUYS GIVE ME the name or number of those NGK plugs? are those good? and something that will work good with my car

That is the name. The brand is NGK, and the model of spark plug is BPR6ES. That's all you have to ask for and they'll know what you're talking about. The dealership will have them also, if the auto parts stores happen to be out.

I just told you which ones to get. NGK BPR6ES. These are the only ones you will ever need in your car.

NGK's are the only brand of spark plug most DSMer's will ever allow in their car, they're just THAT good. They're what came stock in the car in the first place. The only thing that changes is the heat range, and that varies by how modified the car is. For the majority of tuners with basic bolt-ons running less than, say 18psi, the 6ES heat range will work perfectly. As you get more and more modified and running higher boost levels, you have to get colder heat ranges, 7ES, 8ES, and so on.

For your car, the absolute BEST spark plug is the NGK BPR6ES.
