need some answers quick

my cousin has a 95 GS that had the aftermarket deck stolen, the harness was cut before the mitsu connector, so getting a mitsu harness-to-aftermarket harness is worthless to me without knowing the stock wiring codes.

i have the speaker wires off VFAQ but i cant figure out the wires for the Ground and 12v memory(yellow wire on back of cd player), i know the 12v constant is right(its the only red wire coming out of the stock harness). after wiring up the speakers, i still have 4 more wires that arent doing anything, a white/black one, a green/white one, a black/yellow one and a black one(which i believe is the ground)

thanks in advance.

Go to a salvage yard and buy the part there. Splice it in color for color and then use your radio.

Good Luck

true, but that would cost money. 5 bucks(or free if hidden in toolbox) for the stock chopped harness and 15 for the mistu-aftermarket one.

i have wire connectors and everything here for free. plus i want this in by tonight, i cant go to the junkyard for another week. its closed by the time i get off, and not even open when i head off to work.

useless. if you had the color codes to go with what they did thatd be excellent. like i said, i dont have a harness to go off of, the thieves cut the whole shibbang off(i guess its easier to cut through a mass of wires than take 2 seconds and pull a plug off), so i got a mess of wires.

i wired his 12v battery/constant and 12v ignition coming off the cd player to the RED/WHITE one coming off that mess of wires and it worked, so i hooked up the speakers at least and made sure his new deck worked(while its new, its been in his room for 3 years). just with the way i have it hooked up now, the player gets juice at all times, no matter if the key is in or not.

if i had the color codes for 12v constant and 12v ignition that would be dandy, cause thats all i need right now.

ohh sorry about that - i wasnt thinking :(

sweet those wire codes were exactly what i needed. ill be finishing up tonight and ill post up if i have any other questions.

ok i have new issues now.

i wired it up, with the ignition wire connecting to the switched wire on the cd player, and the constant going to the constant on the cd player. it turns off and on with the key like a normal cd player/radio should, but it does not keep the settings after its turned off. i checked the constant feed by turning it on to make sure it was getting power by shorting it out(yes i had to replace a fuse but i know its hot when it should be).

any suggestions?
