I'm putting in new speakers in my 1G and i'm using the stock speaker wire. I'm wondering if the black with white stripe wire in the doors is negative or postive? Also in the rears the speaker colors are orange with yellow stripe...and I don't know which one is positive and negative. Thanks.

Well...on the front the wires are either black with white stripe or solid black which I do not see in that link you gave me.

if you don't have this yet... i'd go white stripe +, but the best way would be to test it behind the dash and in the door to know for sure. put a signal on the line behind the dash, and see what wire that signal shows up on in the door.

BTW, i looked on our computer here at work (car audio shop) and i get the same thing as the link. so i can't be much more help. i suggest testing

Ok, when I go to wire my speakers in my door, theres one black wire and one black wire with white stripe. Which one is positive and which negative? Also in the rear I need to know what color is what. Those sites don't tell me. Thanks.

The rear 1G speakers are labeled. They have a little imprint where the wire plugs in to show which wire is what. Just look at the rear speakers. The front speakers have the same color code.

I used that for my install, there is an error on it, for my car anyways. I didn't have a pair of black with black stripe wires like the diagram says. When you see that you're prolly looking for the pair of black with red stripe wires.

I think the 90 was a bastard, not eveything applys to the 90. If you cant figure out what is pos and negative. Get a 9V battery and tap the wires on it, look at the cone on the speaker, if it goes outwards then you have it right, if the cone sucks in then they are reversed.
