ok.. i had an engine swap done.. and ever since the turn signals or hazards havent been working.. everything else like headlights brakelights and all work.. theres no noise.. and no indication that they even exist.. but the bulbs do work because they turn on still when i turn on the headlights.. my best guess is that it is a ground wire? can someone tell me whats going on? i doubt both flashers went out at once.. much appreciated! thanks!

The hazards and turn signals share one common flasher module behind the radio. There are not two separate units like you are thinking.

When the brakes are on and you then turn on the left turn signal does the left brake light go out or stay on? I would guess you lost power to the module as well since you mentioned a engine swap was done which means lots of wires are put in harm's way during the process.

the reason the bulbs still work even though the flashers dont is because the bulbs have two seperate wires inside the bulbs for flashers and regular running lamps. your problem could be the module as stated above. i seriously doubt it's a ground. when you turn the flasher to left or right does the green arrow light for the turn signal come on?? if so then something could have not been plugged back up after the engine swap or a "key on" wire could have been knicked during the install. if you have a multimeter check continuity at both ends of the wires from the module out to bulbs. or from the switch out to the bulbs. if it shows continuity then there is no problem in the wires. check those things and let us know what you come up with. good luck

the first thing i checked was the fuzes.. 2nd thing i tried to look for is the flasher.. but i still cant find it.. is it in the same spot as the picture for talons also? cause i know we have independant rear signals.. normally im really good with electrical but this one has me stumped.. and no.. no green arrows or anything.. its like the blinker system vanished :shhh:

The turn signal flasher unit interupts the power supply through the turn signal switch to the bulbs. If there was power available to the switch, you would have your green indicators on, but not flashing, therefore you need to find your Turn signal/Hazard flasher unit.

Turn signal and hazard flasher unit is behind center of instrument panel on the center support. 3 wires. It uses fuse 4 (10A) to power it running first through the hazard switch. At the turn signal flasher unit (if you can find it :tease: ): look to see if there is Power (B+) in on the Green/orange wire and power out through the Green/Yellow wire.

There is also a 15 A fuse that powers the hazard circuit when the ignition is turned off. That is fuse 4 (15A) You could have the hazard switch on and that fuse blown and you would not have blinkers!

Stuff to look at.....have fun.

haha.. this should keep me busy for awhile.. thanks everyone for your help.. i'll take everything apart tomorrow so i dont get pulled over for not using blinkers :notgood:

I have the same problem right now! But, when I try the turn signal, that fuse blows. When I try my hazards, that fuse blows! (i went through alot of fuses :( ) The bulbs (front and back) do light up when the car lights are on. I also don't hear the turn signal "ticking." Could my module be bad, or shorted?

Help!!!!
