I searched the forums and found all kinds of useful information as to why my dipstick is popping out. Problem is that its not the dipstick for my car and henceforth doesn't reach to the bottom of the oil pan. Now, my question to you guys is, is there a difference between the turbo and non turbo dip sticks? It said in another forum that there really isn't much of a difference between a 1g and a 2g other than the material that the handle is made of. I was checking at some junk yards and they said that they had non turbo dip sticks but no turbo dip sticks?

If the dip stick came out of the same block as the block you currently have in your car then it is the correct dip stick. The Turbo and NT have the same oil pans and the same blocks, hence the same oil dip sticks.

The cause of dipstick pop out is rarely the dipstick itself, it's mostly excessive crankcase pressure.......mostly. What causes the excessive crankcase pressure is another discussion.
