Quick Boost Spike Question

Facts: T-25. Hallman MBC. 15psi.

Hooked up the mbc tonight, works great in 3rd 4th and 5th gears, steady 15lbs. However, 1st and 2nd gear are spiking up around 20psi. Is this just due to faster RPM build or is there something more?

MBC routing: Turbo comp housing -> mbc -> wastegate. Left the boost control solenoid unconnected.

Pretty similar to what I've got going on. The T-25 and a Prosport MBC. 1st and 2nd gear are right at 15-16lbs but 3rd sometimes goes to 18-20 and 4th as well. Annoying when I hit fuel cut from the spike..
