i want my car to sound louder so i think im going to buy a tubular header, i have a few questions about them. would they bolt on to my big 16g turbo? is it safe to have a tubuler header on my daily driver? will it cause any problems now or along the line?

As long as you get a good tubular header it will not give you any problems. If you get something like ssautocrap, then yes you will indeed have problems with it. As far as making your car louder I highly doubt that will happen from this, but I very well could be wrong about this since I chose to stay with a cast manifold. Yes the manifold will bolt onto your 16g as long as you get one that has the same flange as stock, which most for our cars do. You may want to look into getting a sbr manifold, it flows much more air than stock. yet it keeps the stock look and is way cheaper than a tubular one. A popular choice that I have heard people brag on is the dnp tubular manifold. I'm sure others have good experience with other brands that I am just not aware of, and some even say they have good luck with the ssautocrap. I personally even just after reading the feedback of the member that sells those tubular manifolds would not suggest them. Hope this helps you out some and was not too long and drawn out. :thumb:

A tubular header will not make the car sound any louder. In general, these are used to promote faster spoolup of the turbo and more efficient exhaust flow. If you did decide to buy one, make sure that it's made specifically for the 16G with a 7 cm flange.

The rest of your mod/wishlist tells me that you need to focus on the more important things like proper supporting mods. Go with injectors, a pump and fuel control first and worry about a tubular header when you've maxed out your combination and are looking for that little bit extra. People run some amazing times on the Big 16G without ever going near a tubular header so treat it as one of the last things you'd want to do.

If you want it to be loud, get an 02 dump, a full 3" exhaust and remove the cat. That'll be plenty loud enough.

Hope that helps,

Andy

P.S. You don't have to retype a post due to misspelling. Next time simply hit the "edit post" link and you can make your changes in the original.

Hell if he wants to go all out, remove everything after the O2 housing, and have open exhaust. Can't get much louder than that without putting a booster rocket in his car. The tubular header won't mean much with regards to sound.

well i do have a downpipe with a muffler so i think im just going to get a o2 dump thanks for your help
