Questions about an O2 Elim???

Hi, I decided to buy a turbo back exhaust from rnr racing and I was a little worried about what o2 housing I was going to get(Unless I just ported mine) Then I saw the o2 elim system they offer and started thinking about that. The only thing is that Im pretty new to cars and I dont really know much about the o2 elim... Is there anything else extra I would need to buy or take care of if I got this setup instead? Is the only realy difference between the internal and external dump sound? Would anyone reccomend taking this path or just get like an evo housing or something like that? Thanks a lot-

Im just going to clear up a few things here...

If you already purchased the turbo back, I would stick with that choice, as the o2 eliminator _could_ cause you to boost creep, and not leave you many options to deal with it.

contrary to popular belief the evo o2 housing is not a bolt on affair to our cars, the bolts that bolt it to the o2 housing are different from ours. Therefor to install an evo o2 housing your DP flange would need to be cut off and the correct one welded on.

None of the parts you listed have an external dump on them. Both the stock, rnr, and evo o2 will make use of your internal wastegate and the exhaust gases that go through it will be silent because they are recirculated.

I would suggest (depending on turbo size) either port your 2G o2 housing and make use of it, or get a tubular one. You can find cheap ones on www.punishmentracing.com I've been using their stainless steel 2.5" o2 for over a year now.

An external dump is the option where the gasses that pass through the turbo's wastegate and then to the atmosphere, instead of being re-routed back into the exhaust. The raw exhaust escaping will make a very loud noise when after you reach your desired boost level.

sorry I thought the RNR o2 eliminator did not have an option for an external o2 dump(all of them I've seen re-route back in..apparently it does have the option
