Hi

I just bought a mint 1g eagle talon. the guy told me that one of the rear tires blew and it needed to be replaced. He's got one new tire and 3 old ones but the old ones still have alot of tread left. The tread depth is probably off by less than 1 mm. My question is this tire size difference large enough to cause problems for the rear limited slip diff? I can have the tires shaved around here but shops are closed on saturday

All tires should have the same revs per mile. If the circumference of the tires are off they put added strain on your drivetrain. If your making your lsd work all the time (not just in turns) the clutch discs will wear out quicker. This being said I run different tires on the back of my car but they are real close to the circumference of the front tires so I hope not to have problems.
