i was offered a deal recently on a trade. my 2000 acura integra gsr mildy built 197whp 40k miles + some cash, for a completely stock 1999 GSX 25k miles. i was wondering what thief issues some of you guys had and does the 1999 gsx have an immobilizer? hows the maintainance compared to honda motors because i never had a turbo'd car so i need to do some research on keeping it efficient. please give me some feed back.

I have a 98 GSX, but since nobody has replied yet here goes:

Pros:
A. GSX are FUN cars. Turbo + AWD = :thumb:
B. Looks-wise, GSX is superior. Looks like a showcar coming out of the factory
C. At 25K miles, that car is practically new.

Cons:
A. Eclipses are prone to creaks and rattles. Yesterday, I took my co-worker for a ride. She likes the car but said it creaks like a "haunted house" :(
B. Expensive parts compared to the Integra. More aftermarket parts for the 'teg
C. 60K mile maintenance (t-belt, accessory belt, etc.)

I had driven an Integra GSR and the Type R before I bought my GSX. They were fine cars but it's hard to beat the rush of driving a turbo car. I know for a fact that Honda/Acura cars are superior on fit and finish and lots of car critics prefer them over Mitsubishi.

Drive the GSX and decide. I was in your position before and the GSX took my vote (and my money!) I still love my car, after 6 years. Aside from a leaking moonroof, no problems at all.

nice... thanks for your input chris =D. yea im looking for something different, i guess i have to take that ride for spin. i love tegs, but damn. they are an thief magnet. =/
