Trading my GS for GSX

Well I saw the light, This dealership has a 97 GSX with 110k Miles. They claim it has $7000
worth of aftermarket and runs high 11's. They claim it has 350 whp.
The only mods I noticed was a DNP exhaust mani, injen intake pipe with HKS filter. Greddy something-a-rather and a HKS BOV. I also noticed the BOV was vented to the atomosphere. That is the Swish sound am I right? Well I drove it. It was pretty damn MEAN. That shook me out of my all motor phase. I grabbed the crank pulley no play, so no signs of CW. It does have a greddy turbo timer, 18g Turbo two Recaro seats and 3 assorted gauges from AUTOMETER. It does have a catback and adjustables suspension and coilovers.
They want 10k and will give me 4k for my car... is this worth it??
PS. it also has brand new rims, only 17's and a FMIC that is pretty crooked. no exterior mods and is 5spd

Do you want to buy a modded car? Or do it yourself? If a modded car is what you want and the condition of the car is good then it seems like a decent deal.

I am a tad bit worried because, he has his BOV vented I know that can cause probs also he installed teh harness wrong, its bolted to the back of his seat tracks! other than that he has alot alot alot of mods. I rather do it myself... but the lil bastard is very fast

one thing to remember about buying a modded car, the owner before, while they may have maintained it well, most likly used the car hard. you dont spend thousands to be fast then drive like an old lady. quite often when buying a modded car, you are buying someone elses problems as well.

well let me ask you this...
they'll give me 4k for my car so i only pay them 6500
would you :
A. Buy they car thats already fukin fast
B. used the 6500, turbo it up and get a paint job?

C: buy the car for 6500, sell all the mods you dont want, buy what you do, (im guessing a better intercooler cuz you said its bent...) and have a fast car,... if you put the 6.5k into your other car, would it be awd? thats basically what i see it coming down to....
