I need to set my afpr and so need to turn the fuel pumps on. I don't have anyone to turn the key for me while I check it, so I was thinking I could turn the pumps (walbro in-tank and bosch inline) on via ecmlink and set it. How bad will this flood the system? Are there any reasons why I shouldn't do this or any better ideas?

well since the car isn't turning over it shouldn't fire the injectors so then it shouldn't flood the car.

Using ECMLink to turn on the fuel pumps without starting the car is how you're supposed to do it. There are no negative effects. The fuel pumps don't see any more stress than normal driving.

I would recomend using link and not taking too long. It overstressed the pump and return system if its not actually getting rid of any gas into the motor.
Just don't leave the pump on for a very long time.

BS, the only bad thing is that without the car running you'll be running the pumps off the battery.
