question about gm map sensors

im making a trip to the junk yard soon and im trying to figure out what cars have the 3 bar sensor? ive searched and all ive found on here is 1 car listed having it, the 89 turbo T/A. is that true or are there more cars that have them?

Your correct. The 1989 Turbo Trans Am 3.8l V6 is the only car that came with the 3 Bar MAP sensor. all the others came with 2 Bar and 1 Bar.

The newer supercharged grand prix gtp don't have them??

Incase 2.5bar is to somebodys interest.
All Saabs with Trionic5 (9000, Ng900, 9-3 up to 01) are with 2.5bar MAP. Laters saabs also with 2.5bar MAP, but sensors screw in type.

I'm still wondering about the supercharged grand prix. When I was looking on autozones website the 2002 has the same looking sensor.

Grand Prix GTP used a 2 bar MAP sensor. The Reason why they put the 3 Bar in the Trans Am is because its stock boost was 16.5 PSI. The GTP only runs around 7PSI on the stock pulley.

In case you were interested, the '05 Duramax uses a 3.3bar MAP sensor.
