Pulsing squeaking noise when going slow on bumps or braking. Front right wheel area.

Hey guys I have a very annoying noise coming from my front passenger wheel area. It happens whenever I am going slow over bumps or am braking. The noise is a pulsing noise so it's not a constant squeeling/high pitched rubbing sound. I noticed it after I put my car back together from doing a clutch job. Also it randomly makes my steering wheel shake back and forth which convinces me its something the the suspension. The parts I took off on this side was the tie rod end, the strut mounting fork thing, the lateral control arm, and obviously the castle nut on the axle end. I can not track down where the noise is coming from and went around and tightened everything that I took off. Any idea's?

The squeaking sounds like it may be a strut problem, or possibly a worn out bushing.

The shake in the wheel may just be an alignment issue since you have to take a lot of the steering components apart to pull the axles and such when doing the clutch job, which would throw the alignment off.

Im experienceing the same thing! it started after i installed new coilovers and struts. wen it was stock springs and struts it wasnt making that squeaking noise......the shop said its the way my coilovers and struts is designed so they are rubbing against each other, but i think its BS. ### why would they make coil overs and struts that rub against each other???? im thinking its my bushings going bad????

Well I was looking with a flashlight again at anything that I think could make the noise and the only thing I noticed was that the on the front motor mount on the tranny, on of the poly inserts wasn't in correct and was sticking out funny. Could that be causing my annoyance?

The best way you could check out where the noise is coming from, is if you have a helper to push up an down on the side where the noise is coming from. An you lay underneath with a light an pin point where the noise is coming from. Also if you have a jack you should lift the vehicle up on that side an shake your wheel down an make sure everything is tight. Good luck

maybe an axle problem? ball joints could also be the problem

Well i'm ruling out the ball joint because the lateral control arm is about 2 months old and the boot on the other curved arm is still good.

Well apparently I didn't have everything tightened down super tight. I took the wheel off and tightened the bolts I took out during the clutch job and sure enough, fixed it.
