OK im getting ready to pull my Engine out everything is disconnected except the half-shaft(transmission to driverside wheel ..... I have never done a fwd car before so can someone please help and explain how in the world you do this ?

What would make this easier
....... ANYTHING HELPFUL PLEASE!!!!!!!
Confused

On my 90, there is a carrier bearing on the half shaft that is bolted to the back of engine block. I found it easier to remove these bolts if you take off the downpipe. Anywhore, remove those two nuts to free up the half shaft, and pop the shaft out. Sometimes you have to pry on the shafts to pop them out, sometimes you don't.

Hope all goes well.

ok so first the rims are rusted on from sitting for 3 years! Got them off ... the rotors are now stuck on ......and the cotter pin on the castle nut ... broke when i tried to pull it out anybody have any IDEA's as to what i can do ???

OK i am pulling my engine on sunday but i cant get the cv shafts out .... can you pull the engine out without much problems instead of pulling the engine and the trans ?? :talon:

Yes, you can pull the engine out without pulling the cv shafts. In fact, I just unbolted the bracket at the rear of the block and dropped the engine out of the bottom without removing the tranny.

ok I cant get the castle nut off Help anyone else have this problem.... i havent had as much problems with this car then i have had trying to get this motor out ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Jesus Christ, all you have to do is take the strut/spindle bolts out and let the spindle hang down low. Then, just pop the CV out of each side of the tranny and lift it out. It's not rocket science.

Jezzzzzzz sorry i thought this site was supposed to be helpfful im an idiot when it comes to this car and Im trying to learn !!!
