projector headlight bulbs.....

alright so i have been reading on these for a bit now....i bought some ebay projectors last year and i finally came around to trying to upgrade the bulbs.....i thought they would be h3's but they ended up being H1's. does anyone know if this is like a standard size now for them or is it vendor specific?

the reason i am asking is because i want to order a new set of headlights and i want to order an HID kit, but since i need to know which size bulb i need i dont want to order the wrong one.

hey dude i was in the same boat as you. i had ordered projectors last year and wanted to upgrade. i thought they were h3's but they ended up being H1. i just received my new projectors today...since i wanna do the HID setup too (funny how this is almost the exact same story ) i emailed the vendor to see if he could tell me so i can order and get both at the same but he never responded. well looks like they are H1. so maybe they are all standard now....

The eBay aftermarket seems to use both H3 and H1 in their lamps. My lamps take H1 for high and low beams, some take H3 and H1. Use whatever bulb type comes with the housing.
