Well I put my order in for my car. Getting closer to track time. I am going with

1. PTE SCM6152 w/4" inlet and stage 5 wheel.
2. FP Race Manifold
3. Fuel Lab AFPR
4. FIC 950cc
5. Fidanza Flywheel
6. Fidanza 4.3 clutch kit
7. BC 272 cams
8. OEM oil pump
9. 3g lifters

There is more to come. Man this stuff add up quick. $$$

Saving money this way. I plan on going way larger when I get a twin walbro setup. I dont want to push further then the mid 400 range, for now. I am getting the 950's for a great deal. I plan on going 1600cc down the road. Should I pass up a good deal if my goals are not ready for larger?

Yeah, just between oil and fuel filters, belts, oil, vacuum lines, o rings, ect, just even that stuff adds up fast.

Ill have over 4 times as much money into my car as I bought it for, and its only going to have a 16g and supporting mods :D

These mods do, however, include dual Walbro 255s, 1250s, Mahles, Eagles, ect. :hellyeah:

I'd say 1150's or 1250's or if any thing larger then the new bluemax's. not that 950's won't get the job done, But i've always been one to say. Go as big as you can... so you don't have to buy them twice

Totally understand that, but at the same time, spending an extra 100 matters when you have a million other things to buy. Worst case is that I use them for a while and then sell them for larger.

True ... Have you thought about a Sc61 instead of the 60-1?
O and are you going BB? and are you going with a t3 or bolt on housing?

We have had some real bad luck with BC lately. Have lost power with cams on 2 cars now. I would do a set of FP2's.

Picking up my motor tomorrow :)

Tranny should be ready end of this week/early next week.

Motor is in. Need to finnish up the wiring (ECMLink, broken connector, hook up, ect), motor mounts, get the tranny in and it will be ready! Tranny might be done by friday.

I'm definitely up for a "project meet" when I get back into town, won't be until June though. My car IS a project, it'll probably never be done. I'm working on a turbo setup right now but there is about a million other little things it needs too, so I always something to keep me busy.

What a day.

Got everything together and it fired up. Idled poorley and the cruise cable was yanking the throttle body open. I need to go through the vacuum lines and just run with the bare minimum.

I think Im just going to switch to the non cruise throttle cable, its a horrible system anyways.

I didnt touch the car yesterday, had too much going on. Im planning on going through the vacuum system today when I get home, might take the day off work to try get it running decently... its not like Id be missing much anyways, you know?

Im going to have it towed tomorrow to English.

It starts, idles rough, goes way lean and dies. I put the 450s back in and changed the settings in ECMLink and it was better, but not much. I cant even get the base timing set. The base fuel pressure should be close, but I know its not dialed in. Did a boost leak test and it held pretty well. I redid the vacuum lines and got rid of everything that wasnt needed.

Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Its running. Im not even going to tell you guys what the problem was, its embarrassing. :ohdamn:

Thanks for the call, Ryan!

I have probably 10-15 miles on it now. Runs great, but I still need to tinker with the idle. Sounds like the rear end isnt liking the welded center or something. I have a squeeky belt, but thats not much of a problem, either.

Those Prothanes sure send a lot of vibration through the cab!

The new swaybars made more of a difference than I thought they would. Between those, rack bushing, no rear steer, and new front endlinks, it handles leaps and bounds better than before. Im still shocked.

Holds right around stoich while cruising (namely 4,000rpm).

Now, I just need some more miles on it and I'll hand it over to English for tuning (92 and E85) :)

Im prety stoked right now. :hellyeah:

Thanks again, Ryan!

Haha, yeah... Its rougher than I thought it was going to be. My dash rattle a lot now. :sneaky:

Will be doing some tuning with Lucas tonight.

Dialed in? No. Just a quick street tune so I could rev past 4k. The turbo was ported to creep so the boost really sneaks up on you even just running off the wastegate. I was pretty surprised how strong it felt on 10-12psi.

You going on the Hood River Run saturday?
