problems with dsm

ok, im getting a 96 talon tsi handed to me basically, and it has a few problems, and im curious if anyone on here knows how to fix them?
1. keyless entry doesnt work,,, not the battery, any ideas?
2. cigarette lighter doesnt work, not the fuse, other possibilities?
3. short in brake lights, passenger side, and fin lights come on when brake is pressed, but only one bulb lights up bright on the drivers side, the other bulbs are dim.
4. supposedly every once in a while when the brakes are pressed, the oil light comes on, but i have drove the car, and reamed the piss out of it trying to make it do it for me, but never could, but im curious what could cause this?

this car is going to be a project car, so im not going to pass up the deal, because its being given to me. But i'd appreciate if anyone has any ideas on how to, or what to look for to fix the above problems.

Well first thing I would check is too make sure its properly connected on the back of the lighter assembly itself. For me i had to get a new assembly, junkeyard cheap piece.

I had this happen to me when i attempted to switch to synthetic, few non synthetic oil changes and filters later and i havent seen it in a few months.

Might need to replace the module, or even the battery in your clicker

Basically, just check your connections on the bulbs and make sure they are plugged in all the way. Or the bulbs might need replacing.
