Well, I just picked up my car today after getting timing and balance shaft elimination done. Now I've come across a problem afterwards.
My car has no power whatsoever. Previously, the timing was off by 1 tooth and was tuned accordingly, and made awesome power. Now it goes nowhere, and bogs and bucks at mid to WOT, sometimes worse than others. But now there is no more misfiring like there was before the timing belt change. Vacuum still kinda sucks.
So we take it out to try and tune it with logger and SAFC. Well, no matter how lean or how rich you make it, the logger doesn't read any knock at all and the timing advance never budges from around 17-18. WTF?
I also changed the coil pack to a 2G one temporarily over the weekend until i could get a 1G one and put a 1G one in today, but I have no idea why the car is like dying on me. It DOES idle perfect now though.
Also, my fuel gauge shows an HUGE decrease in fuel for absolutely no apparent reason, I mean to the point that I'm going to end up with 6 mpg on this tank.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I do not know if I am doing any damage to my car while driving it.
