i did a head gasket, timing belt and waterpump. took the head out to do all that and i think and pretty sure i got everything back in order. no missing harness or any thing exept i don't know where the vacuum line from the throttle cable and cruise control goes.

got everything in and started up the car. it seems to idle very high around 3k rpm. the motor seems to idle alot more rough then before. louder. almost seems like there was a little bit of knocking but it's not. it sounds like it have some 272's cams in it. the engine is very loud.

thanks

Did you adjust your throttle cable correctly? Those are the two screws on the rear of the intake manifold.

There aren't any vacuum lines to cruise control. There is a cable that runs from the cruise control device on the shock tower that runs into the other box on the firewall. Cruise control is electric in our car.

i can try to adjust the throttle cable on the bracket.

there is a vacuum line from the cruise control actuator near the driver fender under the power steering line. i don't know where that vacuum line goes. i'm guessing near the fire wall or some thing bc it's pretty long and headed towards that way.

thanks for the throttle cable mention above.
