2G Powersteering squeaking

My friends powersteering pump on his 2g 98gsx is squeaking. When I apply some WD-40 to the shaft it stops. It will stay silent for a while but I assume when the fluid has dried out from turning and engine bay heat it starts squeaking again. Belts are brand new all tight and fluid is full. I think it is a bearing? The rebuild kit doesn't seem to have a bearing in it. How do I go about fixing that?

Why don't you just spray it with white lithium grease? WD 40 wears off in about 10 minutes. The grease stays on. Also,make sure the tension isn't too tight on the belts, causing squeaks and unnecessary wear on the pulley. This GST I just picked up had the belts too tight and they all squeaked. I don't have a manual handy but I think deflection from the center of belts is either 1/4 or 1/2"
