Hey guys my car has been making a humming noise ive narrowed it down to the power steering pump...when i make an active turn where their is load on the power steering it stops humming, when their is no load on the steering it hums quite annoyingly...any ideas on how to fix it?

Upon checking the fluid level, i'd say your going to have to replace it. It's most likely the bearing in there. Mine was the same way.

fluid level is full, i put synthetic power steering fluid in it.
After i finished rebuilding the head i forgot to check the fluid level and I ran it for a few miles very low on fluid (it made the belt squeek) so i guess I could have screwed it up..

I guess to replace it is my only option...thanks guys :)

Try tightening it first it may stop the sound and will save you some money. But remember to tighten it you have to go the opposite direction
