2G power steering pump belt

how do you tighten the belt on a 97 eclipse gsx.. my old pump the top bolt thingy was broken so i just went and got a new pump and put it in but the belts loose as hell any suggestions? there is an a/c if that matters

im pretty sure you just loop the belt around the pullys and pull down on the p/s pump to put tension on the belt

yea i think so to i think i have the wrong belt on it casue its as far as it will go and the belts still vary loose

you may have the wrong belt. I just put a p/s steering belt on a friends car not to long ago and thats exactly what i did. Ill take a look at his car today to verify thats the correct way.
