ok i have search the forums and nothing is posted like my problem, i noticed the power steering resevoir empty so i filled it noticed the power steering hose that runs over the engine mount to the fire wall and then down to the rack and pinion is leaking in multiple spots and stop leak wont fix it so now my question is will a hose that looks exactley the same off of an 89 galant be the same as mine as a replacement and where does that hose run to i cant see where it connects, please and thanks:rolleyes:

As long as the fittings at the pump and the rack are the same, it should work just fine. Just make sure that the hose doesn't get kinked and that it has some flex to allow for motor movement.

Both ends of the high-pressure line have o-rings on them; one on the pump stem, and one on the end of the line going into the rack. These are notorious for leaking, so I would check them first before putting a new hose on.

Had the same problem on my 90 Laser power steering pump and line. I went and got one from a galant and a new pump and it worked fine..
Also make sure the crank pulley is good that was the next thing that went on mine.

ok thanks guys thats everything i needed to know, and i need a hose for sure i bled the system last week and filled in with lucas ps stop leak and i was watching it seep out of these little annoying ass pin holes all over that hose, but i have a 89 galant sohc 4g63 sitting in my garage with a shot tranny so it will now be my donor car
