Power brake on a 14b? Is it possible

the reason i'm asking these is because i have a 14b installed on my 2g talon tsi fwd and it seems i can't get boost by power braking like when i had my stock t25 so now when i race my car it starts really really slow and then i gets to 2800rpms and it starts pulling hard as hell. And the difference was that when i had the t25 i could power brake and get all of my boost and reach 3000rpms really fast and now i can't pass 2400rpms which means i don't get no boost at all :talon:
 
i noticed a similar sitution on my 1g when i nuked the 13g and had to go to a 14b spool was really slow trying to power brake the 14b compared to the 13g the yahoo a/t board guys told me i just had a bad turbo but a friend of mine killed his 13g on his auto car and swapped to a 14b and had the same results. still i could build boost it just took longer with the 14b but now that i have a high stall converter i can spool my 60-trim in a snap! gotta love precision industies converters!

ck with mike at full throttle speed and style ... he cut a deal if you by the shift kit with the converter just tell him your a a/t dsm board member...
 
How high is your stall? How fast is that thing? When does it spool?

i build 14 psi on a 60-1 at 5k..the car leaves like a manual car.I was driving to the track for the first time last week with a 5gallon jug of c 16 on the passenger side floor board and i got stopped at a light so i stalled it up to 5k against the brake and let it go when the light turned green the gas can flipped into the seat! oh a by the way i could probly build more boost but i have yet to wire up my line locks...oh yeah if any needs tips on line lock installs or abs elim email me !
 
so when i at the track so how far should i bring the rpms up to and hold it (stall) 2500 rpms or 5000 rpms? while in low gear and o/d off? :D
right now im getting my 14b ported before i get it installed in my 2g
 
the stocker stalls out about 26-2800 on mine, ive heard of people going over 3000 on stocker though.


One more q for awol. Cab you explain to me how the gearing is? So if your car now stalls out at 5k, does that mean that you can only go 20 mph in first gear or what? See my car is just below 30 at 5000rpm, but if you are completely stopped, it means you only get 3000rpm or so left to run in that gear. Can you help me, i am not sure if my thinking is correct or not?
